The institution was started in 1998, with the blessings of ‘Sadguru Shanthananda Swamigal’ of Salem Skandasramam. Smt. Nalini Ramprasad, started training some ladies in group singing, in devotional songs and Bhajans. Smt. Nalini is a renouned musician, making a name for herself in the Dance circles with her soulful rendering of padams. In 2003-04, this group got the ‘Best devotional music group Award’ from “The Indian Fine Arts Society”. She has also won the Sangeetha Acharya Siromani Award from the Sumukhi Foundation , Mylapore, in the year 2007. This group has been giving devotional programmes at various Temples, Satsanghs and Music festivals. Later, Smt. Nalini started giving lessons in Sloka Recitation, Gita Chanting Vishnu Sahasranamam and Namavalis to young children and adults. This institution holds annual competitions in the above subjects for children from LKG to Std XII. The children, who come to this institution, are also taught various crafts, drawing, and cultural values. Besides these, the children are inculcated with good spiritual stories and traditions. This organisation was converted into a Trust in April 2009. The donations made to this Trust is exempted from Tax under Section 80G of IT Act.
